Access to 17 cryptocurrency exchanges has been blocked in South Korea
Google has blocked access to 17 cryptocurrency exchanges in South Korea that were not registered in the country.

This request was made by South Korea's Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) to the American company. The list of blocked platforms includes KuCoin, MEXC, Phemex, XT, Biture, CoinW, CoinEX, ZoomEX, Poloniex, BTCC, DigiFinex, Pionex, Blofin, Apex Pro, CoinCatch, WEEX, and BitMart.
Clients in the Republic of Korea cannot update installed applications or install new ones. The ban is based on the Special Financial Information Act, which requires the registration of any cryptocurrency platform providing services to the country's citizens.
The decision to block access to these exchanges was made due to the risk of personal data leaks, the lack of reliable protection for users of unregistered exchanges, and the likelihood of tax evasion.
