YZY token launch by rapper Kanye West
Rapper Kanye West will launch the YZY token for his Yeezy clothing brand, CoinDesk reports.
The token will be used for payments in the company’s online store. It is expected that 70% of the tokens will remain with the artist, 10% will be used for liquidity provision, and 20% will be allocated for investors. The coin’s launch was scheduled for February 20 but was postponed to February 21.
According to sources, the project is inspired by the TRUMP meme coin, which was recently launched by U.S. President Donald Trump.
The new token will help West bypass platforms like Shopify, which stopped cooperating with the artist due to his controversial statements.
