The volume of cryptocurrency transactions among Russians has grown by 51%
According to a new report from the Central Bank of Russia dedicated to the state of financial stability, the total volume of transactions with digital assets among Russians has grown by more than 50%.

Analysts analyzed data on cryptocurrency transactions from Q4 last year to Q1 2025. During this time, the volume of transactions reached 7.3 trillion rubles, which is 51.1% higher than in the two previous quarters. The report also says that the increase in activity may be due to a change in the approach of the US administration to regulating the crypto market - it has now become softer and more loyal, which, in turn, has provoked increased interest in digital assets among investors.
As of the end of March 2025, the estimated balances of Russians' funds in exchange wallets amounted to about 827 billion rubles. According to the distribution structure, the main share - 62.1% - falls on Bitcoin, 22% - on Ethereum, and the remaining 15.9% - on the popular stablecoins USDT and USDC. This data was obtained using information from the analytical service "Transparent Blockchain", which tracks transactions and the movement of crypto assets in block chains.
It was previously reported that from January 1, 2026, public sector workers in Russia could begin receiving salaries in the digital ruble.
