Sonic Labs has begun distributing S tokens to US customers
Sonic Labs, formerly known as Fantom Labs, has announced that its massive airdrop is now fully open to US users. Now, all stages of the airdrop, which includes the distribution of about 200 million S tokens, are available to US participants, making them full recipients of the tokens along with users from other countries.

The developers emphasized that this event could become an important precedent for other crypto projects that seek to legally operate in the US market without violating current rules and regulations. Previously, many projects limited the participation of US citizens in token distributions due to difficulties in complying with US legislation. According to analysts from the venture company Dragonfly, from 2020 to 2024, due to geographic blocking, American users could miss out on benefits from token distributions worth between $1.84 billion and $2.64 billion.
In this context, the launch of the Sonic airdrop specifically for the American market looks like a significant step towards inclusivity and equal access to crypto assets. Opening access to tokens for US residents became possible thanks to a legally developed scheme that allowed the distribution to be carried out within the framework of the existing rules for regulating digital assets in the country. Thus, Sonic Labs took one of the leading positions among those who were able to offer American users participation in the token economy without violating the requirements of the regulator.
Let us recall that earlier, in April 2025, another important event took place: for the first time since 2019, a token sale on the CoinList platform became available to American investors. This also indicates that the crypto industry is gradually adapting to local regulatory requirements, expanding the opportunities for US citizens to participate in new projects.
