Russian installs Bitcoin miner in home heating system
In Russia, a user of the "Habr" forum integrated a Bitcoin miner into the heating system of his home – the development brings him an income of 23,000 rubles per month. This was reported by the Forklog portal.

The Russian spent about a year working on the project with a colleague-engineer. They studied books on hydrodynamics, consulted with plumbers, and created 3D models of the future installation. In November 2023, the man bought an ASIC miner Antminer S19 Hydro 151 TH for 135,000 rubles. Including labor costs, he spent around 164,000 rubles on setting up the crypto boiler.
At the time of purchase, the system generated 35,000 rubles per month, with electricity costs of 12,000 rubles deducted, leaving a net profit of about 23,000 rubles.
In 2024, the man built a sauna and also equipped its heating system with a more powerful ASIC miner.
"This project became not just a way to save money but also an exciting experiment. I combined technology with everyday life, and now my home not only gets heated but also generates income," the Russian wrote in his blog.
