Russia to become a world leader in mining within a few years - Bitriver

The president of the largest mining company in Russia, BitRiver, Igor Runets, expressed the opinion that in a couple of years, Russia will be able to become a world leader in cryptocurrency mining. He stated this in an interview with the "Russia 24" TV channel.

According to him, this can be achieved thanks to the previously adopted law on the mining of digital assets and the regulation of the circulation of digital assets. Runets believes that the law on mining has allowed for the introduction of clear rules for industry participants that all, including investors, will follow. The businessman suggested that by 2025, major projects related to the mining of digital assets could be launched - after which companies will gain access to investments from the banking sector.

“Accordingly, all doors for growth and development are opening for the industry. Therefore, I am confident that in the next two to three years, we will emerge as world leaders,” added Runets.

Earlier, we reported that the Bank of Russia, along with Rosfinmonitoring, began developing a platform to monitor suspicious transactions by individuals and to exchange this information among credit organizations.
