President of France: Bitcoin is a threat to the global economy
The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, stated that cryptocurrencies pose a threat to the world as they undermine global financial stability. He made this statement during the G20 summit taking place in Brazil, according to the HappyCoinNews portal.
The politician noted that cryptocurrencies have become a powerful destabilizing factor for the economy worldwide, as digital assets are extremely difficult to regulate. Due to the ever-increasing geopolitical tensions, financial stability remains a priority for countries, and this issue must always be at the forefront.
"Cryptocurrency lacks any regulatory framework, and its further use without proper oversight could negatively impact the financial systems of developing nations," Macron added.
It is noteworthy that earlier, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the nephew of former U.S. President Kennedy, stated that Bitcoin is the best remedy against the declining status of the U.S. dollar as the world's reserve currency, and it could be a solution to the growing national debt of the United States.
