Poland abandons plans to create bitcoin reserve fund
The National Bank of Poland (NBP) has decided not to include Bitcoin in its list of reserve currencies and will not create a fund based on the digital asset. This was announced by the president of NBP, Adam Glapiński.

"We will not consider the idea of buying Bitcoin under any circumstances, because reserve currencies must be completely safe," said Glapiński.
Instead of investing in cryptocurrency, the Polish government will focus on increasing its reserves of dollars, euros, and gold. Glapiński emphasized that Bitcoin should not be given the status of a reserve asset due to its high volatility.
Earlier, Anton Tkachev, a member of the State Duma of Russia from the "New People" faction, suggested that Finance Minister Anton Siluanov create a strategic Bitcoin reserve.
