Mudrex cryptocurrency exchange suspends digital currency withdrawals

The Indian cryptocurrency exchange Mudrex has announced that it is temporarily suspending cryptocurrency withdrawals. This was reported on the company's blog.

“To enhance the security of our platform and protect it from malicious actors, we have decided to temporarily suspend cryptocurrency withdrawals until January 28, 2025,” the statement said.

This decision was made in light of implementing updates necessary for compliance with legislation. Users have been assured that functionality will be restored immediately after the technical work is completed.

Earlier, we reported that law enforcement in India detained Macuda Alam, who is suspected of hacking the WazirX cryptocurrency exchange and stealing digital assets worth $325 million.
