Moscow exchange discusses introducing cryptocurrency futures
The Chairman of the Moscow Exchange Management Board, Viktor Zhidkov, announced that cryptocurrency futures might appear in the country. This was reported by Interfax.
"So far, our opinion is that doing anything related to cryptocurrency is premature. However, progress cannot be stopped or ignored," Zhidkov stated.
According to him, working with cryptocurrencies today raises several questions, as digital assets themselves are not very stable and cannot guarantee income for their holders.
"We, as a commercial organization, will not miss the opportunity to make money on trading anything that attracts interest. But we are also an organization that significantly influences the direction of the Russian market and where investors will channel their funds," he added.
Cryptocurrency futures are contracts for the sale of a digital asset at a specified price, volume, and time.
