CryptoCity pilot zone to be created in Kazakhstan for paying for goods with cryptocurrencies
The head of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, announced that the country will soon have a pilot zone called CryptoCity, where digital assets will be used not only as an investment tool, but also in everyday life - to pay for goods and services. His words are quoted by local media.

The President stressed that the launch of the CryptoCity project will be an important stage in the process of digital transformation of the country.
“We have already achieved significant results in the development of digital technologies, which confirms our determination to turn Kazakhstan into a Eurasian IT hub,” the head of state noted.
Tokayev also stressed that the country will continue to develop key areas of the economy, including digital technologies, artificial intelligence and high-tech innovations. He named the formation of an academic and scientific-technical center in the republic as one of the strategic tasks, where branches of foreign universities will operate and joint projects in the field of research and development will be carried out.
Earlier it was reported that the National Bank of Kazakhstan is creating providers of digital asset exchange services that will be officially regulated and licensed by the state.
