According to the agency's information, OpenAI processed customers' personal data to train AI models in violation of transparency principles and related information obligations. In March 2023, a data leak occurred, which the startup did not report.
The DPA noted OpenAI did not implement age verification mechanisms, which may lead to minors under the age of 13 receiving responses that are not appropriate for their level of development and self-awareness.
