Investors sue the HAWK token team
В четверг, 19 декабря, стало известно о том, что инвесторы направили иск против команды токена HAWK, их обвинили в продаже незарегистрированных ценных бумаг. Об этом пишет портал Forklog.
The defendant is Tuah The Moon Foundation, the company that accepted funds from HAWK buyers, and its founder, Clinton So. According to the lawsuit, the organizers of HAWK capitalized on the fame of meme character Hawk Tuah, Hailey Welch, who promoted the token on her social media and "sparked a frenzy" for the asset prior to its official launch on December 4. Notably, the meme character is not among the defendants.
During the presale, the token managed to raise $2.8 million with a valuation of $16.69 million; investors estimate the damage to be $151,000.
The representatives of Clinton So stated that the project was clearly aimed at taking advantage of the American market. The connection between the project and Welch's media success makes the token holders shareholders. Representatives said the company has been completely transparent about their limited involvement in the Hawk Tuah token project. They are confident that thet have done nothing wrong. As for any disputes, they will allow the process to proceed in court.
