Unknown individuals set up an illegal mining rig in a wooden building in the Kaluga region, using an illegal method of connecting to the power grid.

As reported by the regional prosecutor's office, the power source for the equipment was provided by an unauthorized connection to the power line. The violation was identified by specialists from the energy supply company during a regular inspection of the infrastructure. According to the investigation, the perpetrators ran a cable from the power line to an unauthorized building where they placed the mining equipment. During the operation, law enforcement officers seized all the technical equipment involved in the illegal activity. Experts estimated the damage caused to the power engineers at 6 million rubles.
A criminal case has been opened against the organizers of the crime.
Earlier it was reported that in the village of Shelekhovo in the Irkutsk region, law enforcement officers discovered an illegal mining farm with 250 devices.
