In Russia, they want to recognize cryptocurrencies as property
A bill has been submitted to the Russian government to recognize cryptocurrencies as property to address issues related to the arrest and confiscation of assets. This was reported by RBC, citing the Chairman of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin.

“Meticulous joint work has been carried out on the necessity of recognizing digital currency as property for the purposes of criminal and criminal procedural law, resolving issues related to the arrest of digital currency and its recognition as physical evidence, as well as determining the peculiarities of seizing digital currency during investigative actions,” the official said.
The Investigative Committee has been striving to implement these provisions since 2021.
Previously, the First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building, Artem Sheikin, spoke about the need to license crypto ATMs in Russia.
