Hackers have hacked the XT cryptocurrency exchange
The XT exchange has suspended withdrawals due to a hacking incident. This was reported by PeckShieldAlert.
According to the provided data, the platform lost $1.7 million as a result of the breach. Blockchain analysts noted that the hacker exchanged the stolen tokens for 461.58 ETH. The funds remain at an identified PeckShield address.
The exchange's team confirmed the information about an "anomalous transaction" from the platform's wallet and rushed to reassure clients that their funds remain safe, and the reserve volume exceeds the amount of user assets by 1.5 times.
Earlier, Henley & Partners released a report on “cryptocurrency wealth” for the past year, stating that there are 172,300 people worldwide who own cryptocurrencies worth at least $1 million each.
