Georgian Tour Operator Accepts Payments for Travel Packages in Cryptocurrency
A major Georgian tour operator Tripzy announced the launch of payment for its services in cryptocurrency for citizens of Russia and the CIS countries.

This innovation will allow Russian tourists to book holidays in Georgia and other destinations where the company operates without using traditional bank transfers and currency restrictions. As reported by the RIA Novosti agency with reference to the company's press release, now payment for travel packages and related tourist services in Georgia can be made directly through cryptocurrency, bypassing intermediaries.
Users will be able to pay for the following types of services:
– accommodation in hotels and inns;
– transfers and other transport services;
– excursion programs;
– individual and group tours;
– corporate events;
– VIP service and medical services.
According to Tripzy, when placing an order, the client receives a secure bank link where they can choose a convenient payment method, including using crypto assets. The system automatically calculates the cost of the tour in the selected cryptocurrency, and the payment itself is fast and secure. The tour operator emphasizes that this step is aimed at simplifying settlements with clients from countries where access to international payment systems is limited, and makes vacations more accessible and technological.
It was previously reported that the Thai government is studying international experience with cryptocurrencies in the field of payments for services and goods and is considering the possibility of legalizing such payments for tourists.
