Deribit Platform Stops Serving Russian Citizens
The cryptocurrency options platform Deribit has announced that it will cease servicing Russian citizens. This was reported by the platform's press service.

Under the new rules, Deribit services will no longer be available to Russian citizens unless they are also citizens of a European Economic Area (EEA) country or Switzerland, or reside in those countries. Russian residents who are not citizens of an EEA country or Switzerland, as well as all legal entities registered in Russia, will be affected.
Starting from February 17, Russian users' accounts will be switched to "reduce-only" mode, allowing them to only close existing positions. By March 29, the platform will forcibly close all remaining positions. Users will still be able to withdraw their assets despite these restrictions.
It is worth noting that Deribit, which is registered in the Netherlands, is subject to EU sanctions.
