The deputy of the Krivodanovsky rural council in the Novosibirsk region is accused of illegal cryptocurrency mining. This was reported by the press service of the prosecutor's office.
It has been established that Alik Nersisyan organized an illegal mining farm in his garage in the village of Krivodanova. The investigation believes that he connected the equipment to the overhead power line leading to the substation using piercing clamps. From June 2022 to June 2023, the illegally consumed energy caused damages to JSC "RES" amounting to approximately 6.5 million rubles.
During a search, law enforcement seized 16 ASIC miners from the deputy's garage. The case has been sent to court.
