Clients from Russia accounted for a third of Bybit exchange's traffic in February

In February of this year, users from Russia accounted for 29% of the total traffic on the Bybit cryptocurrency exchange. This was reported by journalist Colin Wu on his social media.

Other platforms were also popular among Russians: Deribit — 10% and KuCoin — 5%. The activity on Deribit is linked to the platform's announcement of ceasing services to clients from Russia in compliance with sanctions and informing users to withdraw funds by March 29.

Regarding the traffic on the main CEX websites, it decreased by 20% in February compared to January.

Previously, the CEO of the Bybit cryptocurrency exchange, Ben Zhou, reported that $280 million out of the $1.4 billion stolen by hackers in a recent attack on the platform had been laundered and are untraceable. Read more.
