Cardano Platform Ready to Integrate RLUSD Stablecoin

Cardano CEO Charles Hoskinson has announced his readiness to integrate the RLUSD stablecoin created by Ripple into his platform's blockchain.

At the same time, there will be no fees for using the token — this is positioned as a gesture of support for the XRP community and a step towards strengthening cooperation between projects. Hoskinson noted that XRP plays an important role in the development of decentralized finance (DeFi), and therefore the Cardano team is open to partnership with Ripple. According to him, the development of DeFi requires cooperation between different blockchains that were previously perceived as competitors rather than potential allies.

RLUSD is Ripple’s dollar-backed stablecoin, which could play a major role in bringing XRP liquidity into Cardano’s smart contracts, thereby improving the experience with decentralized exchanges (DEXs) and ADA-based lending protocols. According to the Cardano founder, such an integration would expand the user experience in the area of decentralized financial products and demonstrate that Cardano is capable of interoperability with other major blockchains. Hoskinson has previously spoken about the possible integration of Litecoin into the Cardano ecosystem, which could be part of a broader strategy to increase liquidity and interoperability.

Earlier, the Brave browser, known for its commitment to privacy and blockchain technologies, announced support for the digital asset Cardano (ADA) in its native wallets.
