Canaan develops heaters for home BTC mining

The company Canaan has developed the Avalon Mini 3 and Nano 3S devices, which are suitable for both Bitcoin mining and heating residential spaces.

The development was presented during the CES exhibition in Las Vegas. The Avalon Mini 3 heater provides a heat output of 800 watts.

"App control and an elegant, quiet design offer an exceptionally easy-to-use, energy-efficient solution for beginners and mining enthusiasts," the press release states.

The pre-order price for the device is $899.

According to the developers' calculations, with a rate of $0.08 per kWh, the daily operating costs for the heater will be approximately $48, while the income from Bitcoin mining will exceed $61. The Avalon Nano 3S is a more powerful version of the already released Nano 3 model. The price for the heater starts at $249.
