Bitcoin price soars to $109,000
On Monday, January 20, ahead of the inauguration of U.S. President Donald Trump, the price of Bitcoin reached a new all-time high of $109,000.
On the Binance cryptocurrency exchange, the price of the cryptocurrency hit $109,588. Over the course of a day, digital gold increased by 3.4%. As for altcoins, they did not react much to the rise of BTC, with the exception of Ethereum, which gained 3.9%.
Earlier, analysts from the Bitwise platform predicted that Bitcoin's price would rise to $200,000 by 2025, while Ethereum and Solana would increase to $7,000 and $750, respectively.
Previously, the U.S. cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase launched a service for providing Bitcoin-backed loans through the decentralized platform Morpho.
