Binance founder triggered the creation of dog-named memecoins
The founder of the cryptocurrency exchange Binance, Changpeng Zhao, named his Belgian Malinois dog Broccoli, which sparked the creation of memecoins named after the pet.

The increased interest in the topic emerged after Zhao shared about his pet and promised to "think for a day or two" about providing additional information. Following a subsequent post with details on the Pump.fun platform and similar sites, the number of tokens with such a name began to grow.
"I never thought that Broccoli would become part of the blockchain ecosystem. There's never a dull moment in cryptocurrency," Zhao shared.
However, CZ emphasized that he simply posted a photo of the dog and is not launching his own memecoin, although he did not rule out such a possibility if the community demands it.
"Likely, I will interact with several coins on the BNB Chain. The BNB Foundation may reward the best memecoins with liquidity or other rewards. […] More details soon," Zhao added.
