VP Capital Group sold the Belarusian cryptocurrency exchange Currency.com
The company VP Capital, registered in Cyprus, sold the Belarusian cryptocurrency exchange Currency.com to another Cypriot offshore company, CXNEST. This was reported by CXNEST representative Konstantin Anisimov, writes DW.by.

Negotiations for the purchase of the platform began at the start of 2023 and lasted about 18 months. Such a long duration was required to obtain approval from regulatory authorities in 28 US states and Gibraltar. The deal amount is not disclosed.
It should be noted that Currency.com became the first legal cryptocurrency exchange in Belarus, launched in January 2019. In 2020, the platform received a license from Gibraltar regulators, and in 2022 it entered the US market.
“Now VP Capital has exited all cryptocurrency projects to focus on its core investments,” commented VP Capital representative Nikolai Markovnik on the sale of the exchange.
